Exclusive Hyundai to Open New EV Boutique in Montreal
While greeting visitors at the 2022 Montreal Electric Vehicle Show on Friday, Hyundai took the opportunity to announce a new EV boutique opening in Montreal later this spring.
It will be North America’s first standalone EV boutique by a mainstream OEM, following the lead of niche brands like Genesis and Polestar.

Owned by the Gabriel Auto Group, the facility will be located at 1955 Ste. Catherine West Street and feature a much different environment than a traditional Hyundai dealership.
This one-of-a-kind space will not only be a new retail point to purchase and lease models like the all-new IONIQ 5 or the refreshed Kona Electric, but will also serve to increase EV awareness and education among Canadians. People will be able to learn about the many benefits of EV ownership and how an electric vehicle can seamlessly fit into any lifestyle, the company says.
“We recognize Quebec is setting the national example for EV adoption. That’s why we’ve decided to launch this one-of-a-kind experience in the heart of Montreal where so many of our EV supporters are based,” says Michel Tremblay, Dealer Development Manager, Eastern Region at Hyundai Canada. “This state of-the-art facility signals the next step in Hyundai’s goal of a fully electrified portfolio in the coming years, and we’re thrilled to work with the Azouz family on this milestone retail initiative.”
More details will be provided closer to the grand opening.
