First, SUVs are unsurprisingly the vehicles that are the most sought after. Sedans come second, now ranking before pickups, to our amazement. Hatchbacks and sports models attract a lesser amount of consumers, and coupés and convertibles come last.
A majority of people are looking for used vehicles aged between three and four years old. For others, like-new models (one or two years of use) are more appealing than vehicles aged five years or more. Lower mileage, a better condition and a still valid manufacturer’s warranty are likely to explain this.
Speaking of mileage, the most clicked-on vehicles have between 30,000 and 50,000 km on the meter. There is also a good proportion of searches for vehicles between 50,000 and 100,000 km, but over that threshold, a clear drop can be observed.
As for the price, the increased value of used vehicles has forced many to question their budget. According to the stats, models listed at $20,000 and less are the most in demand right now. Otherwise, there is still a decent amount of interest for vehicles under $50,000.
