Montreal Ford Dealer Donates Vehicles to Students
Ford Canada the Desjardins Ford dealership on Marcel-Laurin Boulevard north of Montreal recently teamed up to offer a used Edge SUV and F-150 pickup to students majoring in various automotive fields.
The initiative is part of Ford's Automotive Career Exploration (ACE) program. The École des Métiers de l’Équipement Motorisé will benefit from the two vehicles, specifically for the following programs:
- Automotive mechanics
- Body
- Advising on vehicle maintenance and repair
- Automotive parts sale and advice
These vehicles could not be sold to a customer because they were damaged during a flood. Minor repairs and a full cleaning were done by the dealership prior to donating. These are newer vehicles equipped with some of the latest technology available.
This will help provide students with hands-on training. The ACE program aims to raise awareness of career possibilities as an automotive technician and to allow students to acquire valuable knowledge about automotive systems.
