Over 100,000 Nissan Rogues Recalled in Canada
A new recall has been announced for the Nissan Rogue, more specifically 2014-2016 models. Over 793,000 units are affected across North America including 104,464 in Canada.
It appears that corrosion may develop around the electrical connector under the dash, which could increase the risk of a fire.

"If water and salt collect in the driver's side foot well, it may wick up the dash side harness tape and enter the connector," according to a document Nissan submitted to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
A corroded electrical connector may cause issues such as power window or power seat failure, a warning light notification or even battery discharge.
In rare cases, the connector could overheat and spark a fire, Nissan warns. The automaker said it is aware of three "unconfirmed incidents" in the U.S. that may be related to this problem. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported so far.
Nissan engineers are currently investigating the matter and a fix is expected to be ready sometime in the spring. Affected owners will be notified beginning in March.
This latest recall adds to nearly a dozen that are listed in Transport Canada’s recall database for the 2014-2016 Nissan Rogue.
