A Muscle Car You Can Play in the Snow With

Not everyone likes the idea of buying a sports car or a powerful rear-wheel-drive coupe only to store it for the long winter season. That's why some drivers still dare to challenge the ice and play in the powder, but that can put their safety at risk.

However, there are a few options on the market that are safer than others, like: the Dodge Challenger GT.

Added to Dodge's lineup since the 2017 model year, this car has proven to be as fun to drive as other Challengers, but with one important difference: all-wheel drive.

The system includes an active transfer case with front axle disconnection. Under normal conditions, the clutches are not activated and all power is sent to the rear wheels.

For them to activate, the driver must intervene by selecting Sport mode, or the car must detects the need to connect the front axle - after analyzing steering wheel and throttle movements, road conditions, and even outside temperature. Up to 38 percent of the engine's torque can be routed to the front wheels.

And it works very well overall. The torque distribution limits make understeer virtually impossible, which increases driver involvement. You should also know that the electronic stability control can be completely deactivated for additionnal fun.
