What's a Used Subaru Crosstrek Worth?
The Subaru Crosstrek (formerly XV Crosstrek) has been around since 2013 and it has been gaining in popularity especially since the launch of the second generation for the 2018 model year. Based on the same platform as the Impreza, but more spacious and rugged, it is a very popular compact SUV in Canada and especially in Quebec.
The Crosstrek is on your shopping list? Great! Let's see how much a used Crosstrek will cost you.

Historically, the Crosstrek (when new) was priced from about $24,000 to just over $30,000 (excluding the plug-in hybrid version introduced in 2020, which has an very limited distribution). Secondly, it should be noted that in the current automotive climate plagued with low inventories and shortages, the value of used Crosstreks is inevitably inflated.
A quick search on Otogo.ca will reveal over 70 interesting used Subaru Crosstrek examples for sale (2015 to 2021). Overall, prices range from $16,000 to $38,000.
If you look closely, you'll notice that a Crosstrek under $20,000 usually has over 70,000 kilometres on the odometer, is four or five years old, and is a base, Touring or Sport model.
On the other hand, the most expensive examples are the more equipped versions like the Limited, which have less than 20,000 kilometres and are only a year or two old. There are a few demos in there as well.
One of the best deals we uncovered is a 2018 Crosstrek Touring with just 7,480 kilometres on the odometer with a price tag of $25,800. Equipment includes heated front seats and cruise control. Plus, it's a certified pre-owned vehicle that has passed a 152-point inspection.
By the way, there are Crosstreks available with a manual transmission instead of the CVT automatic, but they are much rarer and probably not the best choice for long term and resale.
Happy shopping!
