BMW Classic Collection is a Treasure Chest for Car Lovers
BMW Classic is the branch of the BMW Group responsible for all activities concerning the history of the company, including the restoration of classic cars from the BMW collection and others owned by wealthy individuals.
Covering a total area of 13,000 square metres, the site is located around the corner from BMW Group headquarters, which means it is also close to BMW Welt, the BMW Museum and the BMW Group Plant. This historic collection of buildings once included the very first BMW plant in Munich, so this is a case of coming full circle.

While in Munich to attend IAA Mobility earlier this month, The Car Guide had unique access to the BMW Classic collection. Interestingly, three white-bodied BMW M1s were lined up in one of the shops, with a rare BMW RS 777 parked nearby.
Overall, there are more than 1,800 vehicles in the collection. We can’t show you all of them, of course, but don’t miss the photo gallery above for a sneak peek.
