Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition is Ready at Last
When the all-new Mustang Mach-E electric crossover was introduced in November 2019, Ford announced five models including Select, Premium, First Edition, California Route 1 and GT Performance Edition.
The first four are already available. The fifth and sportiest of them all is now ready to order, as well.

“With Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition, we’re pushing the boundaries of what an electric vehicle can offer,” said Dave Pericak, Ford’s vehicle program director. “This Mustang Mach-E model not only give customers the added capability expected from the GT name, but the responsiveness of the electric powertrain will ensure they have a thrilling experience behind the wheel.”
The GT Performance Edition generates 480 horsepower and 634 pound-feet of torque (both higher numbers than initially advertised), allowing 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.7 seconds. Meanwhile, the battery provides an estimated range of 418 kilometres.
Customers who choose this Mustang Mach-E will also get 385-millimetre front brake discs with red-painted Brembo callipers, 20-inch machined-face aluminum wheels with high-gloss Ebony Black-painted pockets, 245/45R20 Pirelli summer, and MagneRide damping technology to help improve handling.
A new dimension of performance is achieved thanks to Unbridled Extend, a track- and closed-course-only take on Unbridled mode that balances power output for lap time consistency. The system provides more performance-oriented traction and stability control tuned specifically for track use, Ford explains.
When it comes to styling, highlights include a Carbonized Grey grille with illuminated pony badge, “GT” badging, and black-painted mirror caps. Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat is exclusive to this model, while Grabber Blue was previously available only on First Edition.
Inside, look for Ford Performance front seats in Performance Grey ActiveX fabric plus unique Miko perforated reflective insert and metallic stitching. And for those times you want to relax behind the wheel, Ford’s new BlueCruise hands-free highway driving system is optional. It is compatible with approximately 160,000 kilometres of divided highways in Canada and the U.S.
The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition starts at $82,995. Deliveries will begin in early fall and will continue through the end of 2021.
