2021 Jaguar E-PACE Banks on Updates to Rise From the Bottom
Hot on the heels of its big brother, the F-PACE, the Jaguar E-PACE gets a round of updates for the 2021 model year. The changes are not as significant, though, and mostly focus on the interior.
The centre stack has been redesigned and incorporates new buttons and switches under a new 11.4-inch curved HD touchscreen. The latter is powered by Jaguar’s latest-generation Pivi Pro infotainment system offering a simplified menu structure.

On the centre console, a sleeker, lower-profile shifter improves access to storage that’s right behind. Elsewhere, the driver benefits from a revised steering wheel and a new, available 12.3-inch HD digital cluster with enhanced graphics and a configurable layout for full-screen navigation mapping with turn-by-turn instructions, digital dials, media, contact list or infotainment details.
Let’s move to the exterior where the 2021 Jaguar E-PACE features redesigned headlights with new hockey-stick LED signatures. There are fender vents with the "Leaper" Jaguar cat logo, as well as subtle tweaks to the front grille and taillights.
The chassis has been fine-tuned to deliver more stability and better ride quality. However, the same turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine returns, producing 246 or 296 horsepower depending on the trim level (the latter with a mild hybrid system). Unlike Europe, we don’t get the plug-in hybrid variant.
Canadian pricing for the 2021 Jaguar E-PACE will be announced just before it goes on sale early next year. This small luxury SUV has a steep hill to climb, currently dead last in terms of sales behind the Lexus UX, Cadillac XT4, Volvo XC40 and every German competitor.
