Mazda’s 100th Anniversary Models are Coming to Canada

Good news for Canadian customers with a fondness for history and Mazda vehicles: starting in the fall, the 100th Anniversary Edition models announced this spring will be available here, as well.

Developed to mark the brand’s centennial (Mazda originated as a cork-producing company in 1920), these vehicles also pay tribute to the unique style created by its first-ever passenger car, the R360 Coupe from 1960. As such, all of them feature a combination of white and red similar to the latter.

More specifically, the body is painted in Snowflake White Pearl and the interior boasts Garnet Red leather along with red carpeting. A “100th Anniversary” logo appears on the front fender, wheel hub caps, headrests, floor mats and key fob.

Not all Mazda vehicles offer the 100th Anniversary Edition, mind you. The popular Mazda3, Mazda3 Sport and CX-5 are obviously included. A legendary car like the MX-5 makes sense, too. Even buyers of the CX-9 three-row crossover can order one.

On the other hand, the Mazda6 midsize sedan as well as the CX-3 and CX-30 small crossovers are not allowed to participate in the commemoration.

Pricing for the 100th Anniversary Edition models will be released closer to their on-sale date this fall.
