This is What a Tesla Roadster Hitting 100 km/h in 1.1 Second Looks Like
The next-generation Tesla Roadster, first announced in November 2017 and expected to debut in 2020, has been delayed while Elon Musk and his team are busy launching and fixing quality issues with the all-new Model Y compact crossover.
Do you remember the insane numbers, though? Here’s a refresher: 0-100 km/h in 2 seconds, 0-160 km/h in 4.2 seconds and a top speed in excess of 400 km/h.

But that’s not all. An optional “SpaceX Package” would add cold-gas thrusters behind the licence plate, allowing the Tesla Roadster to reach 100 km/h in about 1.1 second. Now that’s ludicrous!
Can’t wrap your head around that? Thanks to a new animation by designer @Pslavi, you can see what such lightning-quick acceleration looks like:
This is how fast 1.1 seconds 0 - 60mph take off should look like with Space X package thrusters on the Tesla Roadster. Computer worked out physics and then visualised in a render animation. Not sure how much gas but threw the effect in anyway. Enjoy @elonmusk #tesla #spacex pic.twitter.com/VzMukQPT2E

We just have two questions: Will drivers be required to hold a pilot licence? And how fast will the tires disintegrate?
