Back to the Future: This Toyota Pickup Sold for Over $80,000

A black 1985 Toyota SR5 pickup similar to the one Marty McFly drove in Back to the Future was recently advertised on the auction website Bring a Trailer.

Now, we know how much it sold for and we just can’t believe it. Someone actually agreed to pay $58,000 USD for this truck, which is equivalent to a little more than $80,000 CAD based on the current exchange rate.

That’s right: eighty grand for a Toyota SR5! It happens to be the most expensive Toyota pickup ever sold on Bring a Trailer.

Granted, we’re talking about a unique replica featuring several custom parts and add-ons to make it look like Marty’s ride. In addition to the black body, you’ll notice tubular brush guards, a roll cage, custom wheels identical to the ones in the movie, plus KC auxiliary lights in front of the grille and on top of the roof.

The individual who sold this Toyota SR5 on Bring a Trailer also listed a DeLorean DMC-12 with just 4,300 miles. The car ended up in the hands of a new owner for $45,500 USD, or approximately $63,000 CAD.
