DS Aero Sport Lounge: The French Aren’t Kidding Around!
If you have a thing for French cars, you’re going to love the new concept unveiled by DS, one of the various brands owned by PSA, which recently merged with Fiat Chrysler.
Called Aero Sport Lounge, the vehicle will officially make its debut next week at the 2020 Geneva Auto Show.

In keeping with the latest hot trend among luxury car companies, DS designers created a sleek crossover with a coupe-like profile and oversized wheels (23 inches, to be exact). The driving position is raised, and while the shape of the rear section limits visibility, the gigantic glass roof floods the interior with sunlight.
Unsurprisingly, an electric powertrain motivates the DS Aero Sport Lounge, but this one is phenomenal. Total output amounts to 671 horsepower, allowing 0-100 km/h sprints in a mere 2.8 seconds. See, we told you the French are not kidding around. By the way, did you know the DS Techeetah racing team is the reigning Formula E champ?
The motors draw energy from a huge 110-kWh battery buried deep into the floor. According to the manufacturer, it delivers a range in excess of 650 kilometres.
All of this is fantastic, but there are two more technological highlights we want to tell you about. The first is a large digital panel where the grille would be on a conventional vehicle. It communicates with pedestrians and other road users by displaying various types of information.
The second is a head-up display that replaces the instrument cluster while the infotainment menus are projected directly onto the dashboard. The only screens inside this concept are… on the door panels. Plus, virtually everything is controlled through voice and gesture recognition.
