Canadian Premiere: 2018 Jaguar E-PACE Brings Style and Power to the Small SUV Segment
by Alain Morin
With the E-PACE, Jaguar is joining the increasingly important subcompact luxury SUV segment. This new rival of the BMW X2, Mercedes-Benz GLA and Volvo XC40 features a very contemporary style and a luxurious cabin. Don’t let the letter E in the name fool you: this is not an electric-powered vehicle. Under the hood is the turbocharged, 2.0L four cylinder that’s pretty much ubiquitous at Jaguar/Land Rover. In the E-PACE, this engine develops 246 horsepower. The R-Dynamic version has the same engine, but increased to 296 horsepower. All-wheel drive is a given, regardless of the trim level.
