Canadian Premiere: 2019 Volvo XC40 Set to Make its Mark
by Alain Morin
After a long time on life support, Swedish brand Volvo, now owned by China’s Geely, is bouncing back and then some. New releases are appearing at a dizzying pace and the Montreal Auto Show will host the Canadian premiere of its compact SUV, the XC40. For now, there’s just one trim level, theT5 AWD. Its turbocharged, 2.0L four-cylinder engine develops 247 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. The vehicle comes with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. This powertrain is already found, albeit with a few less horsepower, in the S60 sedan and V60 wagon.
