Mercedes-Benz to Unveil MBUX at CES
The automaker’s next-generation infotainment system, called MBUX for Mercedes-Benz User Experience, will be on display at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next week.
Very little information is available so far, but the company claims the system will boast “innovative technology based on artificial intelligence and an intuitive operating system.” We can expect it to include the latest features such as gesture control, cloud-based services, mobile app connectivity and settings based on user preferences.

MBUX will likely make good use of Benz’s twin 12-inch screen setup that’s available in model lines such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class as well as the newly redesigned Mercedes-Benz G-Class. However, the automaker has announced that MBUX will be introduced as standard equipment in their next-generation of compact cars such as the A-Class, which will be unveiled sometime in 2018.
Mercedes-Benz’s display at CES will also feature the smart vision EQ fortwo, the Mercedes-Benz Concept EQA as well as the Mercedes-AMG Project ONE. Obviously, we can expect to learn about the most recent developments in autonomous driving, as Mercedes-Benz has supposedly tested its technology on all five continents.
