We’re Heading to Vancouver Island for the AMG Performance Tour!
This week, we’ll be at Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit in beautiful British Columbia to take part in the AMG Performance tour, hosted by Mercedes-Benz Canada.
The main purpose of this event is to educate its participants about the driving dynamics of Mercedes-AMG vehicles. It’s actually a huge training program, one which will not only allow us to better understand these high-performance machines, but also better control them, all while comparing their various driving modes, which considerably alter their handling characteristics.

The event will mostly focus on the German carmaker’s latest supercar, the 2018 AMG GT R. However, other AMG models will be on location to add a bit more variety to the training. We expect to see the following vehicles at the track: AMG C 63 S coupe, AMG CLA 45 4MATIC, AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+, AMG GLA 45 4MATIC, AMG C 63 S sedan, AMG GLE 63 4MATIC coupe, AMG SL 63 and AMG S 63 4MATIC coupe. Indeed, this will be one heck of a performance lineup!
During our time there, we will also take part in some off-roading in a closed all-terrain circuit on board some of the carmaker’s available SUVs. I’ll admit, I’m quite excited to take part in this event, and can’t wait to share my experience with all of you. So stay tuned for our complete story on the experience!
