The Bugatti Chiron on Display at the Toronto Auto Show
Visitors of the Toronto Auto Show will get the opportunity to check out Bugatti’s new supercar, the Chiron. This road missile, which replaces the Veyron, boasts outrageous styling and packs a quad-turbocharged, 8.0-litre W16 engine that develops no less than 1500 horsepower. Top speed: 420 km/h.
While deliveries of the first cars are scheduled for the first semester of 2017, up to 70 units of the Chiron will leave the Molshein factory before the end of the year. On average, it takes six months to build a Chiron and deliver the car to its happy owner. Assembling the 1800 parts to compose each Chiron is performed exclusively by hand by an average of 20 workers. Production of the new Bugatti Chiron will be limited to 500 units and its base price will be set at 2.4 million euros.
According to the famous French brand, through its design, the Chiron is more a beast than a beauty. The new Bugatti’s styling heralds a much more aggressive character, which perfectly suits the car’s character. Designers succeeded in creating a modern version of Bugatti’s DNA with its polarizing look, completing it with new lines required by technical enhancements that improve the car’s performance over the Veyron. Despite all this, the car remains unmistakably a Bugatti.
