Lexus expands RC lineup for 2016, adds new engine choices
The Lexus RC coupe is entering its second year on the market with a trio of engine choices under the hood.
Joining the existing RC 350 and its 3.5-litre V6 that makes 306 horsepower and 277 lb.-ft. of torque is, an RC 300 AWD that is powered by a detuned version of the same 3.5-litre V6, and an RC 200t model that is powered by the 2.0-litre inline four-cylinder adapted from the NX crossover.
The RC 200t is only available in a rear-wheel drive layout, and adopts the intercooled 2.0-litre four-cylinder that makes 241 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque.
It comes paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
As the name would suggest, the RC 300 AWD puts its 255 horsepower and 236 lb.-ft. of torque down to all four wheels, and comes with a six-speed automatic transmission between the seats.
The RC 350 is available in both rear- and all-wheel drive, with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic in the former and a six-speed automatic in the latter.
F Sport versions are available, which aren't to be confused with the performance RC F that is also available.
