A peek inside the Infiniti Q30 'active compact'
With the Frankfurt auto show just around the corner, Infiniti is offering a glimpse inside the 2017 Q30 "active compact" ahead of its official unveiling.
The Q30, which Infiniti has dubbed its "first-ever ... premium active compact," is a hatchback not to be confused with the QX30 Concept—a vehicle that looks an awful lot like this one on stilts.
Regardless, photos released by Infiniti show off an impeccably finished interior that includes an extensive use of leather and Dinamica, a suede-like material.
"The Q30's sculpted exterior and asymmetric cabin design are unmistakably Infiniti," Infinti president Roland Krueger said in a release.
"With the Q30, we are entering a new segment for Infiniti and broadening the offer to our customers. This vehicle is a vital part of our strategy to be a top-tier global manufacturer of premium cars."
Infiniti said its designers took the Q30's "expressive forms and curves" and turned them into "an individuality that embraces the driver and passengers."
The Q30 will be unveiled Sept. 15 in Frankfurt.
