Mercedes unveils GLC; set to replace GLK in lineup
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the all-new GLC midsize sport utility, a vehicle set to replace the GLK with a decidedly more toned down look.
Styled after the GLC Coupe Concept the automaker unveiled earlier this year, the GLC sports a look more fitting with the rest of Mercedes' SUV pack.
The new GLC features as standard equipment the automaker's Agility Control suspension with steel springs and a variable damping system, making it the only vehicle in the segment to offer a full-support multi-chamber air suspension system and electronically controlled, continuously adjustable damping.
The GLC also features Mercedes' Dynamic Select driving dynamics program.
In Sport mode, the Dynamic Select program works in unison with the suspension system to lower the vehicle by 15 millimetres.
The GLC can also be equipped with the Off-Road Engineering package, where ride height can be raised by as much as 50 millimetres.
Inside, the sport ute receives "a marked upgrade for the interior," according to Mercedes.
Engine choices for the GLC include a 2.1-litre diesel or 2.0-litre gas powerplant.
