The Ford Mustang Leads German Sales

Germany loves their sport cars. Driving enthusiasts have a large array of sporty and powerful cars to choose from, and some of the best racetracks are in this country… plus, they have the Autobahn, an amazing highway with some unrestricted sections.

Among all the sports car sold there, one stood out. No, not the latest Porsche 911, or the BMW M3… the best-selling sports car in Germany last month was the all-American Pony Car, the Ford Mustang!

Seems like 780 buyers chose the 2016 Mustang in March, which was enough to put it in first place in front of the Porsche 911 (754 units sold) and the Audi TT (708 units).

In Europe, the Mustang is offered either with a 2.3-litre EcoBoost four-cylinder engine or a 5.0-litre V8. There is no V6 engine option there, as this powerplant wouldn’t be very popular.

Now, it remains to be seen if Dearborn’s finest can keep the Mustang at the top of the sales charts…
