The Sentra Gets Some Changes To Face The Music
The compact-car segment is filled with exceptional vehicles, such as the Mazda3, the Honda Civic as well as the Volkswagen Golf and Jetta.
A sign that this segment is important in many markets, even the American manufacturers are going the extra mile to offer interesting products, such as the Ford Focus and the all-new Chevrolet Cruze.
In this popular arena, Nissan’s contestant is the Sentra, a comfortable, irreproachable compact sedan, but that has no real personality. It’s tough to stand out from the rest of the crowd with so little or no extra attributes.
So, to be in a better position compared to its rivals, Nissan is giving its Sentra a well-deserved mid-cycle refresh, and not a full re-do.
First of all, the 2016 Sentra’s styling has been modified for a stronger family resemblance to the brand’s other products, with a more assertive look inspired by the Maxima, Nissan’s flagship car. In addition, the suspension and the steering of the Sentra were notably revised for a more dynamic drive.
Otherwise, new technology can be found on board, and the cockpit has been slightly reworked to accommodate a more modern infotainment system.
