Mercedes-AMG S63 Convertible: Enjoy The Los Angeles Sun
Since the weather is sunny in Los Angeles, Mercedes-Benz decided to launch a convertible version of its S-Class coupe at the auto show. We saw this vehicle for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show, but the car is important enough to justify a North American reveal.
Shown here in its fastest iteration (the S 63 AMG 4MATIC), the S-Class convertible is one of the most amazing cars in the industry; with its twin-turbo, 5.5-litre V8 churning out 577 horsepower and all-wheel-drive system, the S 63 can get from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. Not bad when you realize that the car weighs more than 2,000 kilos.

The suspension is adjustable, as is the seven-speed automatic transmission.
The top is made of fabric, and available in four colours: black, dark blue, beige and ruby red. It can be put up or down in around 20 seconds, even if the car is going under 60 km/h.
The final price hasn’t been announced yet, but we can speculate that if you want to get your hands on one of these beauties, you’ll have to pay more than $175,000.
