Jeep’s Cherokee Is Here To Stay
If you like the looks of the Jeep Cherokee, I have good news for you (and if you don’t, well too bad); while answering questions from journalists, Mike Manley, director of the Jeep brand, said that the shape of the SUV wouldn’t change dramatically over the next refresh, scheduled for the middle of next year.
According to him, the vehicle is ideally placed in the Jeep lineup, whether it’s in terms of size, price, style or equipment. The Cherokee is a strong seller, even managing to outsell the Wrangler.

The most important point to upgrade on the Cherokee is obviously the nine-speed automatic gearbox; ever since the truck was launched, it has been plagued with software problems. The manufacturer is currently surveying Cherokee owners, offering them a software fix if their transmission doesn’t shift like it should.
