Chris Evans Will Host Top Gear
Finally, after months of speculation, the future of the world’s biggest car TV show is now assured. Starting next season, Chris Evans will helm Top Gear.
On our side of the Atlantic, that name might not ring a bell, however Mr. Evans is well-known in England, where he has a popular radio show in London. He is also a car enthusiast and has a large collection of white Ferraris (Top Gear’s aficionados will remember the episode where James May drove a Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder; this car belonged to Chris Evans, and we had the opportunity to see the rest of his collection as well).

This morning, he said in an interview that he didn’t hesitate long before accepting. He was offered the position last Wednesday and said yes almost immediately.
It’s not the end of the speculation, however. Typically, Top Gear needs 3 presenters to go on. Right now, rumours are suggesting that a woman might be hired soon, which would be a first for the show.
