Here Is The 2016 Jaguar XF
A few days before we get to feast our eyes on it at the New York Auto Show, the Jaguar XF sedan has been unveiled. To make sure their car would generate attention, the manufacturer made it cross 240 metres on wires, setting a new record in the process. With this stunt, Jaguar wanted to showcase the lightness of its aluminium chassis.
The styling of the new XF echoes the new XE which was announced a few months ago, but there is also trace of the old XF’s front end in it. Opinions are split on whether that’s a good thing, but I personally love this new style.

Under the hood, the XF can be equipped with a 2-litre turbodiesel engine with 163 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque (a more powerful version of this powertrain is available, with 180 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque). An all-new twin-turbo V6 cranking out 300 horsepower is also available, and the supercharged, 380-horsepower V6 is set to make a comeback. Whatever engine you choose, an eight-speed automatic gearbox is standard; on the diesel mills, a six-speed manual is offered. We will report back as soon as we can confirm whether all these drivetrains will be offered here.
We will see the 2016 Jaguar XF in the flesh at the New York Auto Show on April 1st.
