Mazda Will Be The Star Of The 2015 Goodwood Festival Of Speed
The Goodwood Festival of Speed is an annual event held in England. Each year, the event showcases a brand that has had notable achievements. After celebrating Mercedes-Benz in 2014, Porsche in 2013, Lotus in 2012, Jaguar in 2011, Alfa Romeo in 2010, Audi in 2009 and so on, the 2015 edition will mark Mazda's achievements. The Japanese company was the first (and only) manufacturer from its country to win the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans, which they won in 1991 with their 787B, powered by a rotary engine. This victory showed the world their sporting pedigree and the potential of their engines. 2015 will be an important year for Mazda, as they are launching three important models: the Mazda2, the CX-3 and the third generation of the MX-5, a modern interpretation of the post-war British roadster.
Spectators at the Festival of Speed will have the pleasure of seeing (and of course hearing) the famous Mazda 787B challenge the event's famous hill climb. They will also be able to marvel at a sculpture by Gerry Judah, a famous artist who makes a unique piece of art at each year's festival.
The 2015 edition will be held from June 25th to 28th, and The Car Guide will be there to show you the important events of this mythical car gathering.
