Audi Q7: Lighter, But As Luxurious As Ever
When the time came to build the next iteration of the Audi Q7, the engineers tried to keep the vehicle’s weight as low as possible in an effort to try and improve fuel economy without having to spend a fortune on engine technologies.
The results speak for themselves: the 2016 Q7 now weighs 325 kg less than its predecessor.
The styling of the vehicle is a lot more angular, and we can see LED headlights up front. The interior is adorned with luxurious wood, leather and aluminium trims. The new MMI infotainment system and Audi’s new electronic dashboard are also part of the spec sheet.
To move the SUV, multiple engines are available: a 2 litre four-cylinder (252 horsepower), a 3 litre V6 (333 horsepower) and a turbodiesel V6 (up to 272 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque, depending on the version). A plug-in hybrid is also expected.
