First Picture Of The New Batmobile
The Batmobile is probably the most recognizable super-hero’s vehicle in history. It changed a lot during its long career: from its humble beginning as a red convertible inspired by a 1936 Cord 812 with a reinforced nose, it went on to become the Tumbler, a futuristic military machine with more gadgets and weapons than its cape-wearing owner could ever use.
The next opus in the Batman franchise, Batman VS Superman, will mark a few radical changes: not only is the main actor different (Ben Affleck will replace Christian Bale), but the director is also new, Christopher Nolan leaving the reins of this movie to Zack Snyder. This also means that we will be treated to a new Batmobile, and the new director was kind enough to tease a picture of it via Twitter.
We can see the Tumbler’s influence, but this new crime-fighting machine is much more stylized than the last one. We can also see a few weapons on it, but it’s safe to bet that there are a lot more hidden under the new bodywork.
Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice will hit theaters on March 25, 2016.
