Recall for the Fiat 500L and its Airbags

English manufacturer Fiat (you read that correctly: a few days ago, the formerly Italian company finished moving their executive office to London!) just announced a recall for the largest car in their lineup, the 500L. According to their engineers, the airbags that are supposed to protect the occupant’s knees might not inflate if said occupants had not fastened their seatbelts properly.
While no injuries have been reported so far, Fiat will still recall about 30,000 vehicles produced between 2014 and 2015. Of this number, about 5,000 are in Canada, and the rest are located all over the USA.

The manufacturer will contact owners of these Fiats, and their vehicle will be repaired free of charge, of course.
