Infiniti at the 2014 New York Auto Show
At the New York Auto Show, Infiniti just introduced a Q70 with a stretched wheelbase, designed to attract buyers seeking enhanced passenger comfort. Nissan’s luxury division also unveiled a new style for the QX80, the brand’s full-size utility vehicle.
The Q70 L has seen its wheelbase increase from 114.2 to 120.1 inches, which translates into 5.6 additional inches of legroom for rear passengers. Style-wise, the Q70 now looks a lot like the Q50, with an expressive front grille, LED accent lights in front, and LED technology incorporated into the tail lights, too.
While the Q70 and Q70 L are boasting a new look, their mechanics remain unchanged, as the 330-horsepower 3.7-litre V6 and the 420-horsepower 5.6-litre V8 are still on the roster, along with the sole transmission, a seven-speed automatic. Note that the long version will not inherit the Q70’s hybrid drivetrain.

The QX80 full-size utility vehicle has also been subtly tweaked. Its front grille now incorporates more of the brand’s signature look and the front and rear lamps have been restyled. The rear bumper has also been redesigned. A new Limited trim offering a number of more evolved luxury accents has been added to the catalogue.
