Bugatti Will now Support the Used Veyron Market
It’s hard to believe that a business like Bugatti, which sells cars at more than 2 million dollars apiece, is not making money. And yet, with an unsold Veyron inventory of $85,000,000 and a lot of competitors who are coming closer and closer to the French supercar's speed record (think Hennessey Venom GT and Koenigsegg One:1), the situation is not perfect.
The most obvious solution would be to develop a new generation of hypercars, but this costs money. A lot of money. And there is still the matter of the 40 unsold Veyrons sitting in dealership lots… To help sell those, the manufacturer has just launched a ‘Dynamic Drive Experience’ program. They will travel the globe, offering potential buyers the possibility of test-driving a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Convertible on the streets and on a runway.

To generate some more revenue, the French manufacturer now offers a Certified program, which will inspect, repair and maintain the cars to keep them in pristine condition. According to Bugatti Board Member Dr Stefan Brungs, "When customers choose a Veyron, they are choosing a unique product, one that stands not only for technical innovation and unprecedented performance, but also for a great automotive tradition. A Bugatti is purchased as a collector’s item. To honor the trust placed in us and to ensure the lasting value of this automotive icon is our highest priority.”
The service will be offered to the first 300 Veyron and Veyron SS models sold for starters. The brand’s engineers will be able to install technical improvements on the vehicles, such as performance enhancements and aerodynamic packages, as well as perform a complete inspection of the supercar. The clients will also be able to buy extended warranties to better protect their investment. To complement all this, Bugatti will offer invitations to social events such as track days, tours of the Molsehim factory in France, and meetings with other Veyron owners.
