The Last Stands of 2014
The automotive world is constantly changing. Some models sell like freshly-baked bread, while others are financial disasters for their manufacturer. Some vehicles get old, and are no longer relevant in today's market. Finally, some of them just had no reason to exist in the first place, and no one will miss them.
Kelley Blue Book presented us with a short video highlighting the cars which will be abandoned in 2014. While the majority are not surprising, some of them will surely bring back memories, and be missed by some. I, for one, will raise my glass to the departing Toyota FJ Cruiser, with its Tonka Truck look and off-road capabilities. I also salute the Acura TSX, which is being eclipsed by the TLX. The first-generation TSX was a nice-looking sporty luxury sedan, especially with the 6-speed manual. But the biggest lost is the Ford E-Series, known as the Econoline. For 52 years, this rolling tin box transported rock bands, hippies, households, construction tools and everything in between.
