Michael Schumacher Showing Signs he Might Awake
Schumacher’s agent has encouraging news about the former F1 driver’s condition today. According to the statement released, Schumacher is showing signs he might actually awake form his coma following his ski accident in December.
"It is very hard to comprehend for all of us that Michael, who had overcome a lot of precarious situations in the past, has been hurt so terribly in such a banal situation," family representative Sabine Kehm wrote in responding to the news. "We are and remain confident that Michael will pull through and will wake up. There sometimes are small, encouraging signs, but we also know that this is the time to be very patient."
Even if Schumacher awakes, it’s impossible to tell what kind of condition he will be in. Doctors have stressed that a full recovery is unlikely and that he may have permanent brain damage as a result of the accident.
