All-New 2015 Volkswagen Golf Makes Appearance in Toronto
The seventh generation of the Volkswagen Golf has been available in Europe for about a year now but hasn’t hit the Canadian market.
This vehicle made its North American debut at the New York Auto Show last spring so we’ve known for a while what we’d be getting. More recently, we saw the new GTI version at the Montreal International Autoshow last month.

The American Division of the German automobile giant will be making the most of the North American model by introducing three different versions:
• Volkswagen Golf VII TSI
• Volkswagen Golf VII TDI
• Volkswagen Golf VII GTI
Last month we also reported that North America would even get the powerful Golf R. At 290 horsepower, the 2016 Golf R will go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds and have 4MOTION all-wheel drive.
Assembled in Mexico
The Volkswagen Golf VII sold in North America will be assembled in Puebla, Mexico. It should hit dealers by summer 2014.
