2014 Hyundai Elantra
The 2014 Hyundai Elantra has been refreshed with slight exterior modifications such front fog lights, a rear spoiler and optional LED taillights. Minor modifications to reduce noise, vibration, and ride harshness were also carried out.
Under the hood, a brand new 2.0-litre direct-injected four-cylinder motor replaced the old 1.8-litre power plant which was port-injected. The new motor feature variable valve timing and see power output go from 148 to 173 horsepower and torque go from 131 to 154 lb-ft. The car is more structurally rigid and slightly lighter. Fuel consumption is 9.8/6.9 L/100km for city/highway, respectively.

The Elantra comes in three trims: Sport, SE and Limited. The five-door Elantra GT (wagon) is also still offered.
The popular Elantra was Canada’s best-selling car for a while at the beginning of last year but was edged out by the Honda Civic for total sales in 2013.
