Infiniti to finally sell cars in Japan

At its inception, the Infiniti brand was reserved for Nissan North America, but showrooms are found globally with the exception of one place: Japan.

This situation will be corrected by the end of this year, with sales of Infiniti models in the Land of the Rising Sun.

We have also learned that there will be no independent dealer network dedicated to the brand, which means vehicles will be sold through handpicked Nissan franchises.

The new Infiniti Q50 sedan will be the first car to be available in Japan under the Infiniti label.

It’s a decision by Nissan to better compete with Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, brands which are gaining popularity among Japanese consumers.
