2016 Honda CR-Z To Pack More Punch

Honda will use the platform of the next Civic Type R to develop its future CR-Z coupe.

The architecture will be shorter than that used on the Type R which is a very popular model in Europe. It will still have room for a more efficient hybrid powertrain, however.

Details are very limited at the moment but the expected 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine will likely be turbocharged and mated to an electric motor with total output around 220 horsepower.

The EV-Ster concept will likely play a large part in the development of the next version of the Honda CR-Z 2016.
