It goes without saying that the 3 Series GT features the same signature esthetic as its big sister, the 5 Series GT. It’s a five-door hatchback that outsizes the sedan.
The liftgate is electronically controlled and can be activated by simply placing your foot under the bumper. This handy technology was first seen on the 2013 Ford Escape.
The very comfortable bucket seats are fairly high, while the rear bench comes complete with reclining seat backs.
This spacious vehicle offers more storage space than the BMW 3-Series Touring (wagon). The total cargo space ranges from 520 litres to 1600 with the rear seat backs down.
Select engines
In Europe, the BMW 3-Series GT is considered a high-end model and features more dynamic engines.
Thus, we can expect the same to be offered here in North America.
Depending on the trim, there is a six-speed manual gearbox or an eight-speed automatic.
