GM unveils its 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra
The American manufacturer can’t afford to waste any time. These last few years, sales of its full-size pick-up trucks have had a noticeable downward trend, especially south of the border.

As before, both trucks differ through a front section that identifies them readily to their brand.
More imposing
We discover that both models received a more majestic grille, while staying within the styling edicts of their brands. Redesigned headlamps bracket the new grille, and they too are now bigger than before .
The bumpers at both ends are also more massive than on the previous trucks.
High-Tech cabin
Regardless of the model and trim, the interior of the trucks was entirely revised and rethought, especially the instrument panel that now features GM’s MyLink infotainment system.
Ecotec trio of engines
Under the hoods of the 2014 Silverado and Sierra, we find new 4.3 litre V6, 5.3 litre V8 or 6.2 litre V8 engines that are branded as part of the Ecotec family.
Stronger engines, yet more frugal
This approach recalls Ford’s, with the EcoBoost 3.5 litre V6 featured in the F-150 .
