Everyone knew Mercedes-Benz would unveil the world premiere of its 2013 E-Class Sedan and Wagon lineup at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
Today however, we learn the German carbuilder will also show the all new 2014 E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet models in Detroit.
Like the new Sedans and Wagons, they inherit a more dynamic front end comprised of:

- The C-Class grille with the three-pointed star dead centre;
- Elongated monoblock headlamp housing.
At the rear, the new tail lamps stretch to each side.
Inside, the dashboard sports new air vents and a revised centre console.
European markets receive new four-cylinder gasoline engines all part of the new BlueDIRECT family.
As for the E-Class powertrains used in North America, the Detroit International Auto Show will provide that answer.
The optional Intelligent Drive technology includes:
- A frontal collision alert system;
- A lane change alerter;
- Anti-dazzle high beams;
- A pedestrian safety protection system.
