Ford Evos concept: The smart car
Despite what it might look like, Ford’s Evos concept is not a coupe, but a sedan which features four Gullwing-like doors.
Engineers and designers from research centers located all over the world have worked together in order to create the Evos.
Next year, Ford should put into production a series of vehicle introducing the company’s new design direction. The Evos should give us a good idea of what Ford’s next designs will look like.
A smart car
Following the trend of the smart phones, Ford presents us with a smart car, a vehicle that will truly interact with the pilot.
For instance, the sedan will memorize the driving habits of the pilot and will be able, for future rides, to identify him/her. Once the driver is identified, the car will adjusts its chassis and other major elements such as the suspension and steering systems to the pilot’s driving habits in order to provide him with the best possible experience.
The car will also be able to take into consideration the preferences of the driver and adapt the air conditioning system and the music to its tastes. Allergy sufferers will also be pleased to know that this Ford car will provide them with a special air filtration system to avoid as much inconveniences as possible.
Ever the heart action will be monitored so stress or fatigue can be detected and proper solutions suggested.
Rechargeable hybrid engine
The Evos is powered by a small displacement engine and by an electric motor paired with a lithium-ion battery.
Some information source say the autonomy of the Evos should be close to 800 km.
One or two production models based on the Evos should eventually be on the market.
