2016 Chevrolet Cruze to start at $15,995
The redesigned 2016 Chevrolet Cruze will start at $15,995 when it goes on sale in Canada in spring 2016.
That price, which includes freight, is slightly lower than the starting price of the outgoing version, while offering more standard features, including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and an all-new 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder.
The new engine, a direct-injected Ecotec unit, makes 153 horsepower and 177 lb.-ft. of torque, a respectable improvement over the 138 horsepower 148 lb.-ft. of torque made by the 1.8-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder in the current car.
The 2016 Chevrolet Cruze will be available in four trim levels, from the base, manual-only L to the Premier.
Pricing is as follows:
- L manual—$15,995
- LS manual—$18,845
- LS automatic—$20,295
- LT manual—$19,845
- LT automatic—$21,295
- Premier automatic—$23,895
Freight adds another $1,600 to the price.
