Hyundai IONIQ to feature 'class-leading aerodynamics'
The all-new Hyundai IONIQ set to launch next spring will feature "class-leading aerodynamics" in a package that will offer a choice of three different electrified powertrains.
A new rendering of the IONIQ released by the automaker shows off a sedan that is similar in profile to the 2016 Chevrolet Volt.
"Simple, carefully wrought contours minimize wind resistance and assist the efficient management of airflow around the exterior," Hyundai said in a statement.
The Hyundai IONIQ's "smooth, elegant and clutter-free theme" continues inside, with an "efficient use of interior space and a clear, logical approach" to the layout of the car's controls.
Hyundai has promised the IONIQ will deliver "a fun and responsive driving experience," while offering full electric, plug-in hybrid and gasoline-electric hybrid powertrains.
