Next Toyota Tacoma To Be Unveiled In Detroit
After stagnating for nearly half a decade, the midsize pickup truck segment is slowly coming back to life. With the arrival of the all-new Colorado/Canyon duo, people have started to look back into this market niche, which up until recently had only offered the 10 year old Nissan Frontier and Toyota Tacoma.
Toyota won’t sit idly by while GM gets all the attention; they just announced the upcoming reveal of their all-new 2016 Tacoma at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

The only certain information we have so far is this teaser photo and a release date (January 12), but we can speculate that the 2016 Tacoma will keep the ingredients that made its predecessor such a success: starting price around $20,000, four or six-cylinder engines, two or four-wheel drive and maybe a more performance-oriented version, like the TRD Pro currently available in select markets.
We will have to wait until January 12 to see what Toyota is up to with the 2016 Tacoma.
